Donruss Rookie Threads Blue & Green (1) – Jared Goff

What's Buzz-worthy: This $35 Mega Box was found at Walmart and it guarantees one exclusive memorabilia card per box. What makes these interesting is the high number of Holo parallels grouped with a high percentage of rookies. If you land the right players -- and this one did with Dak Prescott on a Holo parallel and a Jared Goff jersey -- then it's an easy win. One could argue that the box would have been close to a dud without those two, but a win's a win. (The Prescott alone has sold for more than this box before settling down.) ... The color and energy of the Donruss set is revisited here with the Optichrome stock and it's a win with this many parallels -- at least in the short-term. One big drawback here was awful centering on all of the exclusive Red & Yellow Rated Rookies but most everything else (including the Prescott) is perfectly fine. These may not last long with Optic being as hot as it is on the hobby side, but it does appear that there are not any autographs in these packs. But two inserts per pack here -- and all those rookies -- still keep it fun.
