What's Buzz-worthy: Panini America's Prizm is only available as a jumbo box in the hobby but it has a couple of options at retail and one of them is the blaster box with a guaranteed auto or jersey inside. ... This one was light on name power among the base cards -- almost to an alarming degree -- but it made up for it with a Prizm of No. 1 overall draft pick Jared Goff (good timing since he makes his NFL debut this week), an insert of Tom Brady and another parallel of a big name in Joe Namath. Interestingly there were no Rookie Cards to be found, just RC parallels in the box, which is because no standard RCs exist. Those few names helped make this more than an average (or even potentially below average) box. It would be nice to see boxes include more cards to help out on this issue. ... The jersey wasn't great -- Kevin Hogan was already released by the Chiefs but he did make his NFL mark this week as part of the Cleveland Browns QB carousel. (He threw two picks but rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown,) Prizm is a brand that can be quite flashy, so, if it's your kind of cardboard, a hobby box might be worth a look.
