What's Buzz-worthy: This break is a lacking one in terms of fun -- you don't even get an insert in every pack here -- but it's ultimately the same breakdown insert-wise as last year. The helping hand in this box besides the variety of MiLB unis and notable prospects? The fact that it was a three-auto box with two being parallels that are one in 82 and one in 99 packs. Those numbers helped the box grade here, although none of them appear to be bigger names right now. The Relic set here is a fun one historically, though this one isn't all that amazing with it being a promo night jersey swatch but the event not being mentioned. (It was a legacy night with Cal Ripken Jr. and Billy Ripken set to be in attendance when announced.) The lineup of star players in the base set was about as expected, though I didn't land the guy on the box or one of the rarer variations -- a Luis Robert insert appearance helped a bit, though the inserts this year felt a little flat. The good news with this year's release? There are jumbo boxes this year with Chrome cards inside and their own rainbow of Refractor parallels. If you like MiLB cardboard, this one should be considered -- with no MiLB season at all it's unclear how Topps might handle MiLB cards next year. Could this brand not return and we get something different? Or nothing at all? Recent years of Pro Debut might deliver some top names a little better but the Chromes are a good bet here -- if you land somebody key on one of those cards and as a parallel, you could do pretty well. I am a fan of MiLB cardboard but I think the best bet this year is to go with the jumbo boxes.
Product Grade: B
Box Grade: B+ (three autos and those parallels' odds help a lot ... otherwise felt pretty average)
Fun Grade: C (not a flashy box to open in this format ... try jumbo)

I pulled a Quinn Priester red and an auto Bobby Witt red out of a box of these. 1st box opened after a 28 year break from cards.
