What's Buzz-worthy: A couple of simple things got me to bite here -- the volume/price and that some premium squarebound books seemed to be popping up from these and others I found at an Ollie's store ... a place that seems to routinely have repacks and a lot of past graphic novels from all publishers as part of their outlet burn-offs. (It's a regional chain so you may not have heard of it ... but they always have a lot of books and comics and occasionally have good runs of toys, too, if you're a retail hunter/flipper.) Did I land anything huge here? Probably not -- and the book I liked best was a bummer as the Batman: Black and White had a rip through the whole issue (check the top border in gallery toward the spine) -- but I still think these clean, unread copies likely straight from the publishers' leftovers are still worth the look considering you're paying pocket change per issue here. I picked up a pair and that one had a pair of variants showing front and back ... so expect another one of these here on a slow day sometime soon. What was the other reason I bit here besides the value? The simple packaging was something that I admittedly hadn't ever really seen before ... a repack where it's sealed down the back ... just like a big pack of cards. I know that sounds dumb ... but it added to the appeal. Blind-wrap these bad boys and you might sell more, mystery-maker. (Or at least have a window where the top book shows.) I have dabbled with these from time to time and I'll probably try a few more of these at a later date just to add some clean volume and see what might pop up. These kinds of packs can sometimes age well -- a character might emerge as important later -- or can pack variants that age well. The TMNT issue here is premium with squarebound sane like the Batman book and others are nice plateau issues but not the variants. Perhaps those made it into others? We'll see ... I know my other one caught my attention because of that

Product Grade: A- (it is what it is ... a new-issue grab bag)
Pack Grade: A- (good volume and value vs cover prices for sure)
Fun Grade: B+ (at worst, good filler value for price for a seller or for a beginning/casual collector ... I'm the casual)
