Did collectors overlook the possible Drake 'Rookie Card' while chasing Zion Williamson in packs of 2019-20 NBA Hoops?

The headline says it all here, though I'll admit that this one is firmly written tongue in cheek because I'm not 100 percent sure if that is the answer.

But what I do know is that entertainer and Toronto Raptors superfan Drake can be found on a card in packs of 2019-20 NBA Hoops -- you know, the first set of the year where collectors could chase Zion Williamson Rookie Cards in his NBA uniform.

You'd think that Drake might have shown up on cards before -- it's possible he has and I just don't know -- but he's definitely there on one card in the release. Keep reading for the details ...

The cameo comes on Pascal Siakam's card in the 2019-20 Hoops Action Shots insert set -- No. 24 in a 30-card release found a few times per box in Hoops this year. It's the only version of the card to be chased as there are no other parallel types, but it is a card set printed on reflective stock to make it feel a little more special than the standard stuff.

Drake can be seen standing by his courtside seat in the background as the four-year NBA veteran works his way toward the basket during a game in Toronto last season. That same photo with a slightly different crop, but the multi-time Grammy winner still obviously in the frame, appears on the back of the card.

Sure, it's not a Rookie Card by the traditional standard -- it's obviously not even his card -- but it's the only one out there for him ... right?

Cardboard cameos like this one have been viral hits at times in the recent past and they certainly were a slightly bigger deal back when there were only a handful of card sets released each year, but I'd bet that there could be some interest here once fans who might not be opening packs of basketball cards looking for that Zion Williamson guy take notice.

After all, Drake has more than 38 million Twitter followers and has sold 150 million-plus units ... perhaps some basketball cards are next?
