We're just a couple of days away from the official arrival of 2016 Topps Allen & Ginter baseball cards, meaning the newest batch of surprise inclusions, World's Champions and downright unusual cardboard will be here to captivate some collectors once again.
The wall art version of the set arrived today, giving us all a glimpse at the base cards and a couple of insert sets.
Topps’ 11th edition of Allen & Ginter is set to arrive on Friday with three hits in every 24-pack hobby box.
Among the non-player signers will be sportscaster Colin Howherd, golfer Cheyenne Woods, fitness guru Denise Austin, Field of Dreams‘ Dwier Brown, NBA broadcaster Ernie Johnson, actor Frank Whaley, comedian George Lopez, ESPN’s Hannah Storm, MLB Network’s Heidi Watney, ESPN’s Jessica Mendoza, super-agent Leigh Steinberg, softball star Monica Abbott, Marlins Man Laurence Leavy, broadcaster Mike Francesa, Olympian Michael Phelps, tennis star Maria Sharapova, filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, competitive eater Matt Stonie, political analyst Rick Klein, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr, the ol’ ball coach Steve Spurrier, actress Susan Sarandon, actor Kevin Costner (as Ray Kinsella) and even The Sklar Brothers.
You can see a sampling of some of those names in the gallery below and we'll be adding to the gallery as impressive cards are pulled in the coming weeks.
Post-release nuggets: The framed mini Relics are being found only two per case, while the Allen & Ginter mini-back odds seem to be off -- the cards are not being found as often as they should be. The manager cards are one per case, while the explorer cards are immensely tough pulls.

I didn't like these at first, but after seeing the Canseco (if you pull any rare Canseco please let me know!) I'm on board!
