Processing is already under way for collectors cashing in, and the Blowout Cards store credit is already flowing for those who were lucky enough to find the MVPs in packs of 2022 Topps Chrome as part of the Topps MVP Buyback Promotion that began on Saturday.
Wait, what?
Well, in case you missed out on the big reveal last week, Topps is buying back copies of Aaron Judge and Paul Goldschmidt cards from 2022 Topps Chrome -- even base cards can get you $20 apiece and you can land more credit if you land better copies of their cards.
The cash-in is for store credit via Blowout Cards and it's good for Judge and Goldy cards from Chrome as well as its Logofractor Edition. It also will be in play when the 2022 Topps Chrome Sonic set drops in February.
How does it work? Submit cards to Blowout with the detailed instructions at this link. It will run until March 31, 2023, when a new baseball season begins.
Keep reading for even more details or if you have questions.
How does it work? The various types of cards for Judge and Goldschmidt having rewards as you can see in the gallery below -- they range from $20 up to $200 depending on the scarcity. A full FAQ and list of other participating card shops can be found by clicking here.
For both Judge and Goldschmidt, all cards numbered /399, /350, /299, /250, /199, or /150, the buyback amount is $100. For all cards numbered /99, /75, /50, or /25, the amount is $200. Topps encourages collectors to use the #ToppsMVPBuyback hashtag on social channels to show off their wins or let their friends find out more. Note that the Judge and Goldschmidt Chrome cards in these releases that are limited to five copies or are 1/1s are not included in this program. The full program list for both players is below. (Click for a closer look.)
There is no limit on your submissions via Blowout Cards, so you can rip more boxes and send in more cards for credit. Submit cards to Blowout with the detailed instructions at this link now.

Are we able to do the MVP Buy Back in person I’d we live close to the Chantilly store?
Yep.
Can I use the complete credit on a purchase or is there a daily limit? I have card shop near me and you can only use max $50 a day. Please advise.
No limit that I am aware of. -- Buzz
I know the promotion ends on 3/31. Does the submission need to be postmarked by 3/31 or do you have to receive the MVP cards by 3/31? I’m opening some boxes up until the final day..
Need to be received before the 31st. -- Buzz
